Energy Xm2 -

Features

  • "Alternating bridging" technology
  • Sipes with alternating "bridge" connections
  • Full silica compound reduces friction between the rubber particles
  • Green X marking on the sidewall
  • "Micro-Adaptive Compound"
  • Optimum void grooves

Benefits

  • Results in less heat generation for reduced fuel consumption and increased tyre flexibility for improved road holding
  • Guarantees reduced fuel usage and CO2 emissions, whilst maintaining excellent longevity and safety
  • Better adapts itself to the irregularities of the road surface and therefore guarantees excellent grip
  • Evacuates a higher volume of water at a faster rate to lower the risk of hydroplaning

Why is this the right tyre for me?

car gif faster shorter braking dry tyres

  • Firm grip with the road surface which helps reduce the braking distance.
  • Stops up to 1.7 meters shorter*

*Based on external tests done by Shanghai Motor Vehicles Centre on MICHELIN Energy™ XM2, measuring dry road braking distance from 100 to 0 km/h; against 5 competitors' tyre brands in 195/65R15. November 2012

The Excellent grip in both dry and wet road conditions comes from two main technologies.

  • First, the tread compound is more flexible. It better adapts itself to the irregularities of the road surface (Micro-Adaptive Compound). Then, the wider grooves on the tread evacuate a greater volume of water, reducing risk of aquaplanning (Wide Tread Grooves).

Car picto gif lasts x miles longer tyres

Exceptionally long tyre life

  • Lasts 28% more compared to the leading competitor in India*

*Internal tests conducted on Indian roads. Results calculated on an average basis. Compared to a leading Indian competitor

Alternative Bridging technology

  • Reinforces the rigidity of the tread blocks. By limiting their flexibility, it reduces the risk of rapid tyre wear, increasing tyre longevity.

car picto consumes less fuel tyres

  • Low rolling resistance contributes to fuel savings
  • 22% reduction in rolling resistance when compared to the leading competitor in India*

Silica Based Tread Compound

Reduces the heat generated by the friction between the rubber and the road. Thus, less energy is lost, reducing fuel consumption.
