Upcoming EVs in 2024: Amidst the continuously increasing demand for electric vehicles in the country, the year 2024 is also going to be a great year. Many new launches are going to happen in the EV industry this year. Upcoming EVs in 2024:
Tata Curvv EV:
Tata Curvv EV is one of the most awaited electric cars from Tata Motors to be launched later this year. The carmaker has showcased the ICE version of the SUV in a production-ready version at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
The fourth electric car from Tata Motors is expected to be launched in the second half of 2024. Its length is 4,308 mm, width is 1,810 mm, height is 1,630 mm and wheelbase is 2,560 mm. According to reports, the Curve will travel between 400 km and 500 km on a full charge.
Tata Harrier EV:
Tata Harrier EV will also get its electric version this year. The Harrier EV has also made its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Built on Gen 2 EV architecture, the Harrier EV will come with V2L and V2V charging features. However, its range, performance and features details have not been revealed yet.
Maruti Suzuki eVX
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is also planning to start production of its first electric car eVX. The carmaker has confirmed that the eVX electric SUV will be manufactured from Suzuki Motor’s Gujarat facility in Hansalpur from next year.
It is expected to launch sometime in 2024. The eVX electric SUV will come with a range of around 550 kilometers on a single charge. It will be equipped with 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. When launched, it will compete with other cars like the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona.
Mahindra XUV.e8
The company will also expand its EV lineup for India with the launch of an electric SUV based on the XUV700. This will be Mahindra’s second electric offering after XUV400. Mahindra had showcased five upcoming electric SUVs during an event held in the United Kingdom in August last year.

The XUV.e8, which will be launched under the Born Electric brand, is expected to come with dual electric motors as well as all-wheel drive technology. In addition to adding features such as Level 2 ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) and 5G connectivity, Mahindra is expected to provide a battery pack capacity of at least 60 kWh with the XUV.e8 EV.
Skoda Enyaq
Skoda Auto India has also introduced the new Enyaq EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. This is going to be Skoda’s first EV product in the Indian market. The launch of Enyaq in India is planned for the first half of 2024. It is equipped with a rear axle mounted electric motor capable of producing up to 282 bhp.
Skoda claims that it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds. The battery pack is an 82 kWh unit, which takes 28 minutes to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent. 565 km on a single charge according to WLTP.
